Opening date is set!

The plans and progress with the Mangawhai Opportunity Factory shop has been announced in the Mangawhai Focus today!

A group of passionate locals have spent the last three months formulating and fine tuning the design of an extraordinary community-minded idea, the Mangawhai Community Opportunity Shop Trust (MCOST). 

The first platform for the trusts fundraising activities is the opening of a second-hand shop, the Mangawhai Opportunity Factory. This is a first, as the total focus and reason for being, is 100% dedicated to the enhancement of the whole community, not just for one organisation. 

The Mangawhai Opportunity Factory is opening on 14 October and will be located at 5 Wood Street, Mangawhai Heads.

“The Factory” is a charity shop that exists to help other organisations achieve what they’re trying to achieve... to have a fund that people in Mangawhai community can donate to as well as apply for funding from.
